Taiyuan University of Technology College of Electrical and Power Engineering Holds Online Information Session with the University of Exeter on Electrical Engineering Degree Program

At 16:30 on May 5th, 2023, Taiyuan University of Technology College of Electrical and Power Engineering and the University of Exeter in the UK jointly held an online information session for an electrical engineering degree program. Participants included Sun Haitao, a teacher from Taiyuan University of Technology College of Electrical and Power Engineering, Professor Peter Crossley and lecturer Shen Shuhang from the University of Exeter's Electrical Engineering and Smart Grids program, as well as sophomore and junior electrical engineering students from Taiyuan University of Technology.

The information session began with teachers from both universities introducing the degree program and the advantages of their respective institutions. Professor Crossley then delivered an engaging research presentation on the field of smart grids, revealing the development trends and prospects of smart grid technology to the attending students. Dr. Shen Shuhang provided detailed information on the University of Exeter's Electrical Engineering and Smart Grids program, including curriculum, practical projects, and master's degree requirements, and warmly invited students from Taiyuan University of Technology to participate in the program for further study.

During the final segment of the session, students enthusiastically asked questions, and teachers from both universities provided detailed answers to their inquiries. Students expressed strong interest in the degree program and looked forward to collaborative learning opportunities with the University of Exeter. It is reported that the agreement between Taiyuan University of Technology College of Electrical and Power Engineering and the University of Exeter will be signed in the near future.

The successful organization of this online information session laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two universities in the field of electrical engineering and provided an excellent platform for students to expand their international horizons and enhance their personal capabilities.
